WINEMAKER’S NOTES

Our 2023 Chardonnay is a great example of Margaret River Chardonnay; balanced acidity and excellent varietal fruit flavours have resulted in a wine that has finesse and length of flavour. Typical of the fine-fruited style we make, it has some great potential to evolve in the bottle.

TASTING NOTES

Colour:  Medium straw.

Aroma:  Subtle stone fruits aromas, brioche pear, with a hint of crème brulee entwined with sweet oak characters of vanilla, and nutmeg spice. Added complexity from partial natural ferment of high solid juice and French oak maturation.

Palate:  Medium weight on the palate, with delicate fruit. Spicy vanillan oak on the palate. Minerally acidity with some lees and high solid ferment complexity, balanced with good texture and length. Medium body with a long finish.

Food matching:  Barramundi with Mango salsa.

Cellaring:  Enjoy now or cellar for three to five years.

Alcohol:  12.0 % vol.  Standard drinks:  approx 7.1
